Position Description Immediate opening for a Class C Home Daily Delivery Truck Driver at Ryder in Lockport, IL. Pay & Hours Pay: $1,075‑$1,200 weekly Hours: 48 hours per week Schedule: Monday‑Friday, start time 6:00 AM‑7:00 AM dispatch Paid training Route & Vehicle Deliver solo: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan Route: Dedicated Home Daily Tractor type: Straight truck Trailer type: 20‑26 ft straight truck Equipment: pallet jack and liftgate (train on all equipment) Freight: Touch – Auto Parts Trucks: 36 months or newer, 24⁄7 roadside maintenance, company‑fueled at 800+ maintenance facilities nationwide Benefits Uniform allowance Paid Personal Time Off: 80 hours accrued in first year (use vacation or get paid out) Medical, dental, vision start 30 days 12 weeks paid maternity leave Immediate 401(k) rollover, contributions, and company match at one year Employee discounts on tools, cars, hotels, electronics, phones, travel, etc. Driver protection: drivers maintain job when safe‑decision (captain of ship) Contact Call or text “Lockport” to Shaunna at 269‑751‑9020. Requirements Minimum age 21 years Minimum 6 months of verifiable driving experience Pass a Ryder drug test Must have verifiable driving experience for straight truck/box truck: 6 months in past 3 years, OR 2 years in past 5 years, OR 5 years in past 10 years Pass Ryder background and motor‑vehicle check (drug/alcohol verification from previous employers for last 3 years) Pass DOT physical Pass Ryder road test Valid driver’s license Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures Important Note Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor‑vehicle records check, road test, and/or badge or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned. Responsibilities Drive safely and comply with safety regulations, continuous training, and customer service. Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and standards. Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards. Maintain accurate records and load/unload freight (or assist as required by customer). Other tasks as assigned.
