This role leads the development and implementation of data infrastructure and informatics strategies that support data acquisition, integration, quality improvement, analytics, and research enablement.

The Deputy Director is responsible for ensuring that data collected from electronic health records (EHRs), electronic case report forms (eCRFs), and other sources are of high-quality and usable for clinical research, quality improvement, and real-world evidence generation. This includes oversight of data pipelines, digital tool development, vendor coordination, and collaborative efforts with research and clinical teams. This position requires a strong understanding of healthcare data standards, data quality frameworks, and the ability to build scalable data infrastructure in support of ASH RC’s scientific mission.

    2. Implement quality frameworks and SOPs across submitted data.
    3. Align with clinical and research teams to ensure data is research-grade.
    4. Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and sustain data quality improvements.

Data Analytics

  • Prepares datasets for research and QA projects using large healthcare databases and medical coding terminologies (e.g., ICD-10, SNOMED, RxNorm, CPT, LOINC).
  • Partner with program leads to develop analytic tools for clinicians, researchers, and stakeholders.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in data science, data transformation, visualization, and informatics solutions.

Research Platform Support

  • Ensure data systems and infrastructure meet the evolving needs of clinical and translational research.
  • Facilitate interoperability and harmonization across multi-source data to support prospective and retrospective studies.
  • Support internal and external research teams by providing access to research-ready data and tools.

Leadership and Collaboration
