Overview Put your love of dogs to work at Legacy Dog Resort! We are established, growing and in need of great people to continue our mission of providing the best service available in the dog business. Our high standards and passion for doing all that we can for our clients and pets requires top quality personnel. We offer flexible hours, competitive pay (based on experience), and health insurance eligible after ninety days (50% covered by company), 401k and 40 hours of PTO after 1 year of employment. Responsibilities Our dog handlers take care of the dogs from the moment they arrive until their departure. They interact and play with the dogs Monitor them at all times to ensure that they remain in the proper groups in order to play and exercise safely Oversee feeding Observe, document and communicate any issues or problems that need to be addressed with staff, management. Qualifications MUST have professional experience in a kennel environment Must demonstrate sufficient dog handling skills Ability to take direction from management Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment Ability to work independently to complete tasks proficiently Must be able to work in a vigorous physical manner, standing or walking 90% of the workday Attributes Must be patient and loving with dogs Work well under fast-paced conditions Must have common sense and good judgment Great attitude, ability to interact positively with staff and clients Articulate and professional communication skills Detail oriented, conscientious and dependable Compensation We are one of the highest paying facilities in the area! Starting pay with experience is between $14-$17/hr. We also give bonuses and incentives!
