Entry-Level Forestry Technician

Company: Verde Earth Technologies
Location: Projects in Phoenix currently underway & Upcoming
Pay: Starting at $18/hour

• Additional $1/hour with S-190 Introduction to Wildland Fire Behavior and NWCG S-130 Wildland Firefighter Training certifications
• S212 Qualification start at $20/hour
• Veterans start at $20/hour

Job Responsibilities

• Assist with tree thinning, vegetation clearing, and removal of invasive species to promote forest health.
• Operate hand tools and equipment (training provided) such as chainsaws, pole saws, and brush cutters.
• Work in remote, rugged terrain , often hiking to job sites and camping overnight when required.
• Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations while working in various outdoor conditions.
• Contribute to a team focused on conservation, wildfire prevention, and habitat restoration .

Qualifications & Requirements

• Physically fit and able to lift 40–60 lbs , work in rough terrain, and perform strenuous tasks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions and travel for multi-day projects.
• Reliable transportation to and from work sites.
• Experience in forestry, conservation, or landscaping is a plus but not required.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required but a Plus!)

• S-190 & S-130 certifications (additional $1/hour).
• Prior experience in land management, firefighting, or environmental conservation.
