Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in Fruitville, FL. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in diagnosing and repairing various types of heavy equipment, including excavators, dump trucks, skid steers, and roll-off trucks. A commitment to safety, reliability, and efficient work practices is key to succeeding in this role. Compensation: $25 - $35 hourly Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair diesel engines and heavy equipment through regular maintenance and repair procedures Efficiently troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure the smooth operation of various heavy machinery Conduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on a range of equipment, including excavators, dump trucks, skid steers, and roll-off trucks Replace or repair faulty parts and components as necessary to maintain equipment functionality Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities performed Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulations while carrying out maintenance tasks Qualifications: Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role Strong knowledge of diesel engines and systems Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment Familiarity with HVAC systems in diesel vehicles The ability to solder and perform tire service is a plus Knowledge of tractor-trailer systems is beneficial Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail You must live in the US About Company You will work for a company that cares about your safety and well-being, with great benefits and offerings to keep you healthy, safe, and well.
