Job Description

Job Description

Our Innovation, AI, and E-Data Consulting team is rapidly expanding to meet the surging demand for technology-enabled solutions that enhance legal practice and client service globally. We are looking for an Innovation Solutions Specialist to help us build cutting-edge applications and automated workflows that modernize legal operations.

This role is centered on designing and delivering client-centric, low/no-code workflows and lightweight applications that securely integrate across our legal technology ecosystem. You will be the bridge between complex legal requests and secure, repeatable technological solutions, primarily leveraging the Microsoft productivity and automation suite (Power Platform).

The ideal candidate is a technical problem-solver who excels at:

  • Translating legal requirements into scalable, efficient, and secure automated workflows.
  • Integrating enterprise systems via APIs and connectors.
  • Applying light scripting (e.g., Python/JavaScript) for sophisticated automation and data preparation.

You will gain hands-on exposure to our AI initiatives, including tools like Copilot Studio, making this an excellent entry point for enterprise systems professionals looking to build a career in legal technology and AI. Work product is delivered under attorney oversight with a focus on pragmatic quality control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design & Deliver Solutions: Configure and support enterprise workflows and lightweight applications for attorneys, practice groups, and clients.
  • Build Automation: Create and maintain intelligent, secure automation using modern low/no-code platforms, primarily the Microsoft 365/Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Translate Requirements: Convert ambiguous legal needs into clear, testable, and secure workflows; document assumptions, limitations, and attorney review checkpoints.
  • Integrate Systems: Configure integrations between firm systems and third-party platforms using APIs/connectors, collaborating with IT on security and permissions.
  • Code for Efficiency: Develop light scripts (e.g., Python or JavaScript) for data preparation and advanced automation where needed.
  • Collaborate: Partner with attorneys, Knowledge Management (KM), and IT to gather requirements and deliver impactful, reusable tools and templates.
  • AI Support: Contribute to pilots and feature evaluation that leverage AI and agentic capabilities (e.g., Copilot Studio).

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years in a legal, consulting, or enterprise environment, or a strong portfolio showcasing shipped low/no-code automation and workflow solutions.
  • Expert, hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) or similar low/no-code builders (e.g., Zapier, Make).
  • Experience configuring enterprise integrations using REST APIs, GraphQL, or event-driven connectors; familiarity with enterprise apps and Document Management Systems (DMS).
  • Demonstrated ability in general scripting/coding for automation and data prep (e.g., Python or JavaScript).
  • Proven capacity to translate complex legal requests into clear, testable workflows with necessary guardrails and review steps.
  • Working knowledge of confidentiality, access controls, and data retention for client data in a professional services setting.
  • Exceptional teamwork, collaboration, and a dedication to continuous learning.

Preferred Skills & Knowledge

  • Exposure to Copilot Studio and agentic orchestration for multi-step, human-in-the-loop workflows.
  • Familiarity with enterprise search/retrieval solutions (e.g., connector-based indexing, RAG-style patterns).
  • Conceptual understanding of vector search and embedding concepts.
  • Experience with Azure/Microsoft cloud services and OpenAI-style platforms.
  • Understanding of the legal tech ecosystem (eDiscovery, DMS, contract tools) and best practices for data privacy and access control.
