-Associates + 2 years of Instrumentation experience OR
-2 years in a technical school setting with hands-on instrumentation experience OR
-High school/GED + 4 years of instrumentation experience.

What attributes (i.e. - preferred qualifications) would make this candidate stand out?

Instrument technician will be supporting manufacturing and maintenance activities related to client Master Production Schedule. In addition, resource will be supported execution of calibration PM, repair activities and troubleshooting equipment and system. The following calibrations will be performed UV, Temperature, Pressure, Weight, Conductivity, pH among others required based on manufacturing and utilities process design.

SUMMARY
Under general supervision, the Instrument Technician is responsible for performing/providing calibration, repair, installation, troubleshooting, and documentation of instruments, process control systems, and equipment used in manufacturing, utility plants, and analytical labs. All work to be completed to assure minimal impact to production while complying with cGMP and client regulations

FUNCTIONS
1. Perform basic calibrations of instruments on process and utility equipment.
2. Assist the team with maintaining an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system for the equipment/ systems the team is responsible for.
3. Ensure that calibration paperwork, instrument files and work order documentation is completed with accurate information.
4. Participate in a detailed training program in order to develop ones knowledge in the instrumentation field and other areas of the plant.
5. Assist in the development, revision, and updating of related SOPs for work related areas.
6. Configure and repair microprocessor based instruments and controllers.
7. Basic troubleshooting and repair of process control and laboratory instruments.
8. All work must be completed in accordance with CFRs, cGMPs, SOPs, and client policies.
9. Perform regular certification of equipment to verify conformance to industry standards and client procedures.
10. Maintain an up to date cGMP training book.
11. Plan and schedule own work activities with operations staff to minimize impact to production activities.

EDUCATION
-Associates + 2 years of Maintenance experience OR
-2 years in a technical school setting with hands-on experience OR
-High school/GED + 4 years of Maintenance experience.

PREFERRED QUALITIFACIONS
1. A craftsperson knowledgeable of pneumatic, mechanical, and electronic instrumentation.
2. Has received training or hands on experience in such specialized subjects as analog and/or digital electronics, microprocessors and/or computers, and the operation and maintenance of particular lines of field instrumentation.
3. Ability to effectively communicate ideas through verbal and written form
4. Intermediate computer skills
5. Ability to interact constructively with peers/teams
6. Ability to seek outside resources as needed.
