Job Title: Freight Broker - Customer Acquisition Specialist.

Commission only position until prepared for full-time freight agent. Work from home.

Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Freight Broker to join our team and focus on acquiring new customers who require quotes for their shipping lanes. The ideal candidate will be a proactive relationship builder with a proven track record in sales, logistics, or brokerage services. You will be responsible for identifying potential clients, providing competitive quotes, and fostering long-term relationships with shippers in need of freight solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Acquisition: Identify and reach out to potential customers with freight needs, including businesses requiring quotes for their quarterly or annual lanes.
• Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their specific freight requirements and ensure repeat business.
• Quote Preparation: Provide competitive pricing and service solutions for shipping lanes based on market trends, customer needs, and carrier availability.
• Market Research: Stay informed about market rates, trends, and competitor offerings to provide value-driven quotes and secure business opportunities.
• Collaboration: Work closely with carriers and the internal operations team to ensure efficient freight movement and client satisfaction.
• Follow-Up: Maintain consistent communication with clients to confirm quotes, handle inquiries, and address any service issues.
• CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, quotes, and follow-ups in the company’s CRM system.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Freight Broker, Logistics Coordinator, or in a similar role within the transportation or logistics industry.
• Strong knowledge of freight brokerage operations, shipping lanes, and market dynamics.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to identify customer needs and provide tailored logistics solutions.
• Proficiency in CRM tools and freight management software.
• Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Existing customer network or ability to generate leads independently.
• Familiarity with scale suppliers is a plus.
• Experience working in logistics or supply chain is preferred but not required. 
• A home office will be needed.
