Founded in 1897, St. Mary’s Hospital in Kankakee, IL, is an 182-bed facility that has been a cornerstone of specialty and emergency care, available 24/7. St. Mary’s Hospital offers a range of specialty services, including heart care, cancer treatment, stroke care, and orthopedics. With an array of minimally invasive procedures utilizing the latest robotic-assisted technology, along with comprehensive imaging and lab services, all services are conveniently located on one campus. We are accredited as a Chest Pain Center by the American College of Cardiology (ACC), designated as a Primary Stroke Center by The Joint Commission (TJC), and hold several orthopedic accreditations.
Under general supervision of the Director of Radiology Services, the Mammographer actively participates in the performance of specialized radiographic imaging procedures which assist the radiologists in the diagnosis and treatment of medical disorders. The Mammographer will participate in direct patient care, facility quality and safety initiatives as well as local and federal regulations. Assist with complex and sensitive patient and patient family issues. Ensures quality and safe delivery of care to patients of all ages.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Licensure and/or fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
2. Graduate of a Radiologic Technology program accredited by JRCERT.
3. Current ARRT certification.
4. Advanced certification in the field of Mammography.
5. Current experience as a radiology technologist.
6. Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
7. Current BCLS (AHA) certification.
8. Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards.
9. Ability to travel to all imaging facilities both regularly and without notice.
10. Experience in Hospital Information Services (HIS)/Radiology Information System (RIS).

Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $31.44 to $45.54. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
