Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Review drawings, specifications, standard methods, building codes, submittals, and other pertinent construction documents.
• Perform Field inspections as needed.
• Perform Destructive and Non-destructive test of structures members.
• Update Quality Manual and Test/Calibration periodically
• Design and prepare digital forms for various Laboratory testing and Field inspections.
• Supervise/review all reports from Field Inspectors and facilitate submission of final reports to clients.
• Initiate training and performance review for Laboratory and Field Inspectors.

 

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management or related field is preferred but not required.
• 5 years of technical experience with NYSDOT
• Able to work the night shift from 10pm – 5am
• OSHA 10 and 30 Certification required
