Optometrist- Albany, NY
Job type: Full-time/Permanent
Shifts: Days

Position Summary:  We are seeking a full-time  Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and treat various eye conditions, and prescribe corrective lenses. This role offers a collaborative, patient-focused work environment across multiple office locations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and medical eye exams
  
• Diagnose and treat a range of eye conditions
  
• Prescribe eyeglasses and contact lenses
  
• Clearly communicate diagnosis and care plans to patients
  
• Perform LAL treatments (training provided)
  
• Document patient visits using EMR
  
• Participate in on-call rotations and see add-on/ER patients as needed
  
• Attend staff meetings and follow all clinical policies and safety protocols
  

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) and active NY State license
  
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between locations
  
• Strong communication and patient care skills
  
• Proficiency with EMR and medical coding/billing
  
• Team-oriented mindset and professional demeanor
  

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and assist with patient care, including occasional lifting (up to 35 lbs).
Additional Details:

• On-site position with required travel between locations
  
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
