Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Hospitalist – Float Pool

System Wide

Essentia Health is seeking exceptional hospitalists to join our System-Wide Float Pool. This hospitalist will primarily travel the North Country, providing needed care “Close to Home!”

PRACTICE SPECIFICS

• Ideal candidates should be flexible team players, willing to address complex issues in hospital medicine within a collaborative environment.
• Join a team of nearly 100+ hospitalists, including physicians and NP/PAs.
• Enjoy great flexibility with a 1.0 FTE equating to 168 shifts, typically following a 7/7 schedule for 24 weeks per year.
• Mileage/rental car and lodging (if desired) are reimbursed for travel from Primary Location.
• Procedures are not required.
• Utilize Epic Electronic Medical Record throughout the entire Essentia system.
• Short-term, vent management (up to 24 hours) is required in Virginia. Additional training supplied if necessary.
• Dedicated nocturnist teams.

Essentia Health – Virginia, MN

• 30-bed, Level IV Trauma Center.
• Currently undergoing a $13 million upgrade to its emergency department.
• Located 60 minutes from Duluth.

St. Joseph’s Medical Center – Brainerd, MN

• 133-bed, Level II Trauma Center.
• Located in Fargo, ND

St. Mary’s Hospital – Detroit Lakes, MN

• 36-bed, Level III Trauma Center.
• Awarded “Top 20 Rural Hospital in the Nation!”
• 45 miles East of Fargo

Essentia Health – Duluth, MN

• 140-bed multi-specialty hospital with acute dialysis, medical-surgical, psychiatry, and outpatient surgery units.
• 4-Star Rating from CMS, placing it in the top 27% of all hospitals.
• Recognized by the American Hospital Association for collaborative efforts to improve community health. 

St. Mary’s Medical Center – Duluth, MN

• 350-bed facility, Level 1 Adult and Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center.
• Award-winning healthcare design for facilities architecture.
• 5-Star Rating from CMS.

St. Mary’s Hospital – Superior, WI

• 25-bed, Level IV Trauma Center.
• Just minutes from Duluth, MN.

Essentia Health – Fargo, ND

• 133-bed, Level II Trauma Center.
• Located in Fargo, ND

COMPENSATION

• $400,318 - $440,751. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based compensation.
