Lakeshore Talent has partnered with a hospital in Chicago to staff a 12 week Polsomnographer/Sleep Tech role.

TYPE: 12 week contract with potential for extension or hire
Location: Chicago
Schedule: 3 twelve hour shifts on Tues / Wed / Thur overnight from 7pm to 7:30am with a 60 min break
Pay: $35 - $42 per hour

Required:

• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Respiratory Care Technologist (RRT).
• Certified in basic cardiac life support (BCLS)
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the International 10-20 system of electrode placement.

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree or additional training in electroneurodiagnostics, anatomy, or successful completion of certification in allied health school.
• Prior sleep tech experience, ideally at a facility accredited by the AASM

Preferred Skills:

Adult Maintenance of Wakefulness test (MWT)
Adult Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT)
Home Sleep Test
Portable Sleep Study

Staging and Scoring:
Periodic Breathing
Transient arousals

Monitoring:
Respiratory Inductance Plethysmography (RIP)

Work Settings:

Hospital and lab experience

Professional Skills and Knowledge:

Infection control
Patient education

Covid and flu vaccines are required.
