Job Description

Development Associate

Our client is a well-known brand in the luxury apartment construction and property management space in Central Ohio. Over the years, they have expanded into complementary business sectors, and due to continued growth, they are seeking a Development Associate to work directly with the CEO and COO.

This individual will provide high-level support to the executive team by organizing, tracking, and reporting on projects, initiatives, and activities across the organization. The role requires someone who thrives in managing multiple priorities, ensuring accountability, and delivering clear, timely reporting to leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and prepare materials and notes from meetings, emails, and departmental updates to identify tasks requiring tracking and deadlines.
  • Follow up with task owners to report progress to the CEO, COO, and other executives through calls, emails, or in-person meetings.
  • Ensure requests for action or information directed to executives are properly delegated to responsible parties.
  • Monitor resulting activities, providing executives with frequent, dynamic, and accurate reporting.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing task-related communications to ensure timely responses.
  • Track project progress and proactively flag potential risks to deadlines, recommending solutions to mitigate issues.
  • Maintain task documentation including reports, meeting minutes, and project files.

Why This Opportunity?

  • Dynamic Growth: A thriving organization in multifamily construction and property management, with leadership actively pursuing new sectors for expansion.
  • Work-Life Balance: Hard work is valued, but evenings and weekends are rarely required—this is an organizational philosophy, not just a policy.
  • Modern Work Environment: Attractive, well-located offices with convenient access to major roads, shopping, and dining.
  • Competitive Benefits: Comprehensive package including 15 days PTO in the first year (pro-rated), holidays (including floating holidays), robust insurance, 401(k), and more.
  • Engaging Culture: Company-sponsored events—last year’s canoeing trip was a highlight for the whole team.

Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of experience in construction and/or property management.
  • Prior experience supporting executive-level staff.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with ProCore is a plus.
  • Skilled in the organization and maintenance of files, records, and reporting systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, gather information, and communicate effectively across levels.
