Regional Sales Manager - Southwestern US and LATAM

Mid-sized specialty chemical company is looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager out of the chemical industry with a hunter mentality and demonstrated experience bringing in new business. This could be a great opportunity to develop and execute a regional sales plan that aligns with the companys growth strategy. Duties:

  • Exceed sales budget while operating within established expense budget
  • Communicate the actions needed to implement the strategy and business plan
  • Generate and execute against a sustainable and profitable growth plan, achieving growth with all customers, including distributors within the assigned territory
  • Build and sustain strong customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
  • Use expertise to identify solutions that meet customers needs, presenting them with a clear rationale and value proposition to gain customer agreement
  • Identify new business opportunities (including new markets, applications, growth areas, customers, partnerships, products and services or new ways of reaching existing markets to achieve profitable growth)
  • Maintain a professional working knowledge of water treatment processes, chemical applications, equipment, and company product lines within the scope of their objectives
  • Collaborate and connect with all applicable departments (sales, technical, customer support, product management, supply chain) to deliver high quality solutions and service to our customers, while ensuring transparency and alignment within the organization
  • Responsible for communicating all field intelligence, competitive trends and up to date information regarding field sales projects and opportunities, and entering sales call reports through CRM tools
  • Perform field related work such as audits, trials, jar tests, and conduct calibrations or minor repairs to feed equipment and control equipment maintained by the company
  • Position requires 50+% overnight travel, required international travel

Salary: $100,000 - $140,000

Job Requirements

Technical Qualifications:

The right candidate will be a self-motivated Spanish-speaking sales executive with a proven track record of delivering growth and customer centric solutions. Your credentials ideally include:

  • Bachelors degree in a business or technical related field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in B2B technical sales with a proven track record of success; water treatment experience in industrial, chemical or petrochemical industries is a plus. International experience within Latin America is required
  • Must reside in Gulf/West territory (TX, NM, CO, UT, AZ, NV, CA)
  • Fluency in Spanish is required
