Stator Winder Insulator Position

As a Stator Winder Insulator, you will be responsible for winding, taping, and insulating coils for stators used in motors and generators. This role involves preparing insulation according to specifications and utilizing both hand and power tools as necessary. You will be expected to complete daily and weekly TPM tasks with precision and consistency under normal supervision. With a requirement of five thousand hours of experience for proficiency, the position also includes performing other duties as designated by the supervisor within the same salary grade or below.

Responsibilities:

• Wind, tape, and insulate coils for stators for motors and generators.
• Prepare insulation materials as required.
• Follow outlined methods and procedures in specifications.
• Use hand and power tools for various tasks.
• Complete daily and weekly TPM tasks accurately and consistently.
• Perform additional duties as designated by the supervisor.

Essential Skills:

• General labor skills.
• Assembly experience.
• Mechanical production knowledge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, insulation diagrams, and work instructions.
• Skill in applying insulation materials such as slot liners, phase paper, wedges, and tapes.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and specialized equipment for cutting, shaping, and installing insulation components.
• Capability to ensure proper fit and alignment of insulation to prevent electrical shorts and mechanical wear.
• Competence in inspecting insulation work for accuracy and adherence to specifications.
• Experience in maintaining accurate documentation of materials used and work completed.
• Ability to collaborate with winding and hookup teams for smooth workflow and quality output.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Permanent position based out of North Mankato, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits:
