• The following holiday scheduled are required to be covered, Thanksgiving 11/26/2025 - 11/30/2025, Christmas 12/23/2025 - 12/28/2025, and New Years Eve & New Years Day 12/31/2025-1/2/2026.

• Anticipated schedule: 40 hours/week, with variable schedule to cover retail pharmacy operating hours.
\n\t
• Hours of operation for Portal Pharmacy Monday - Saturday (9:30AM-8:30PM), and Sunday (2:30PM-7:30PM)
\n\t
• Thanksgiving 11/27/2025 (9:30AM-2:30PM)
\n\t
• Christmas Eve 12/24/2025 (9:30AM-6:30PM), Christmas Day 12/25/2026 (11:30AM-4:30PM)
\n\t
• New Years Eve 12/31/2025 (9:30AM-6:30PM), New Years Day 1/1/2026 (11:30AM-4:40PM)

\n\n Work Experience: \n\n\n\n

\n\t
• Manage inventory levels, conduct regular audits, and implement strategies to minimize waste and optimize inventory levels
\n\t
• Collaborate with suppliers and wholesalers to order medications, track deliveries, and maintain accurate transaction records
\n\t
• Understand fundamentals of the federal 340B program, how to maintain compliance, and how to utilize appropriately
\n\t
• Accurately interpret and dispense prescription medications in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, verifying prescription information for completeness and authenticity
\n\t
• Conduct regular medication reviews, including drug-drug interaction checks, and appropriate duration of therapy
\n\t
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication profiles and relevant documentation
\n\t
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information in accordance with privacy laws
\n\t
• Administer immunizations under defined protocols
\n\t
• Offer personalized consultations to patients and patient’s families regarding medication-related concerns, proper medication usage, potential side effects, relevant medication precautions, and recommendations for over-the-counter products
\n\t
• Address customer inquiries and resolve issues related to prescriptions, insurance, and medication concerns promptly and professionally
\n\t
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes, ensuring comprehensive medication therapy management
\n\t
• Provide exceptional customer service, foster a positive and welcoming atmosphere, and promote a patient-centered approach to pharmacy services
\n\t
• Supervise and train pharmacy technicians and students (when applicable)
\n\t
• Remain up-to-date on all licensure and hospital education requirements
\n\t
• Represent the pharmacy in community outreach events and educational programs
\n\t
• Build and maintain relationships with healthcare providers and community stakeholders to promote the pharmacy’s services
\n\t
• Pharmacists hired to work at Portal Pharmacy may be asked to assist in other areas of pharmaceutical care at the Regional Hospital
\n\t
• Perform day-to-day pharmacy operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with all regulatory requirements
\n

\n\n\n  Education: \n\n

\n\t
• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
\n

\n\n License: \n\n\n

\n\t
• Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in the State of Utah
\n\t
• Licensure to dispense controlled substances in the State of Utah
\n

\n\n
\n 
\n Certifications: \n\n

\n\t
• General Certifications(ACLS,BLS/BCLS,PALS,NRP)
\n

• APhA Immunization Certification
