Job Title: Chemical Operator I
Location: Neville Island, PA
Employment Type : Contract (Long-Term)
Schedule: 1st shift – 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Pay Rate : $25–$26/hour

CHEMICAL OPERATOR I

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate equipment systems used in the processing of chemical substances in accordance with formulation specifications and safety guidelines.
• Perform regular cleaning and maintenance of plant manufacturing areas, grounds, and equipment.
• Operate process water treatment systems.
• Attend and participate in shift meetings, safety sessions, and complete job safety evaluations.
• Review product specifications and ensure proper use of tools, safety equipment, and materials.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing processes, equipment operations, and production outcomes.
• Use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.
• Conduct in-process laboratory testing per Quality Control and Assurance protocols.
• Perform maintenance on process equipment as skill level allows, including mechanical, electrical, piping, and welding tasks.
• Load/unload box trailers and bulk trailers, and complete product transfers.
• Comply with attendance, punctuality, and company values standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience (chemical industry preferred).
• Knowledge of hazardous waste handling and disposal.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing specifications and raw materials preferred.
• Forklift/tow motor certification preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a team environment.
• Ability to work overtime and shifts.
• Ability to meet occupational demands and maintain fitness for duty.
• Strong maintenance skills preferred (process equipment repairs, electrical, piping, cutting, welding).
