Preschool Substitute Teacher

Employment Type: Part-Time | On-Site

Hourly Rate: $18-$20 per hour | Based on education and experience

Merryhill Preschool is seeking an experienced, passionate, and driven Preschool Substitute Teacher to support all classrooms at our premier preschool in Davis, CA . What You’ll Do:

As a Preschool Substitute Teacher with Merryhill Preschool, you’ll be responsible for:

• Overseeing daily classroom operations and ensuring full compliance with state licensing regulations
• Designing and implementing thoughtful and intentional lessons in a classroom setting that encourage student growth and development.
• Building meaningful relationships with families and creating a welcoming school culture
• Participate collaboratively and professionally with other teachers and staff.

What We’re Looking For:

• 12 Core ECE Units in Early Childhood Education  OR an awarded CDA in the assigned age group.
• Infant and toddler teachers will be required to have 3 Infant Toddler ECE Units completed.
• A minimum of 6 months of teaching experience in a licensed preschool or early childhood center.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• The ability to often carry and lift 25 pounds or less and occasionally carrying 25-50 pounds.
