Special Education Teacher Needed Location: Maryland Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (30-minute break) Hours: 35 per week Job Summary Amergis Educational is seeking Special Education Teachers to provide high-quality instructional services to students in grades K-12 under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator. This role involves collaborating with general education staff to plan and implement individualized programs, including specialized instruction, tutorial support, and consultation. Responsibilities + Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with special needs. + Participate in IEP development and implementation. + Collaborate with teachers and staff to support inclusive practices. + Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. Qualifications + Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (preferred). + Valid state teaching certificate or eligibility for certification (MSDE preferred). + Minimum 1 year teaching experience (preferred). + Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred. + CPR certification, TB screening, and health clearance as required. + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
